Pottery Creek Series was originally woodblock prints which chronicled the variations in the tide at Pottery Creek, St. Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada. Barrie Kaufman lives in West Virginia and spends the summer on Deer Island, New Brunswick, Canada. She recorded the forty foot tide at Pottery Creek and all that beautiful reflections of water and sun on the red and pink rocks.
Barrie Kaufman has had a one woman show at Sotheby's Stockholm, Sweden. She has won the Taipei City Mayor's Prize at the 5th International Print Biennial, Taipei, Taiwan. She was a visiting artist a Presse Papier, Trois Rivieres, Quebec. And she has won numerous grants, including The Kentucky Foundation for Women, The West Virginia Commission on the Arts and The Painted Bride, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Barrie has paintings and prints in the public collections of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum Taipei, Taiwan, The Zimmerli Art Museum, Rutgers University, Rutgers, New Jersey and kathy Caraccio print making studio, New York.
