Donna Lok, Bulbs and Shell
Donna Lok has been an active visual artist in Hong Kong from the eighties to early nineties before she decided to withdraw completely from any creative work. Still, her extraordinary and poetic etchings and pastel works are always in people's memories.
Selected by GOOD Edition, this series was originally done between 1982 and 1986. Some of them were created for certain poems. The image "Regent Hotel" was created to accompany one of the poems in a special feature "Seven women poets" in Qiu Ying Shi Kan, a poetry publication published in the mid-eighties in Hong Kong. Another two images "Left-handed woman" and "Multitude of Leaves" were created for two poems by noted Hong Kong poet Leung Ping-Kwan.
