Zhou XuFan was born in 1982. In compositions reminiscent of traditional Chinese painting, where frail, sad, and sickly classical beauties are juxtaposed with prehistoric dinosaurs and modern fashion, she reconstructs an imaginary old China. Zhou studied painting since she was a teenager. She is now in her third year in the Tianjin Academy of Art, majoring in painting and photography. "The Overheard Legends" is a series of constructed photographs from seven different stories.
