This series of photographs was an attempt to create Pronek's guide to Chicago, based on the book "Nowhere Man" written by Aleksandar Hemon. As we were wondering around, Aleksandar was setting the pace, telling stories, uncovering Chicago secrets and taking unexpected turns. This particular photograph was taken somewhere along the North lakeshore, on one of the Chicago beaches.

Velibor Bozovic was born in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, a small town close to the Austrian border. Due to a fortunate turn of events, he moved to a bigger town, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the age of 4. Velibor was raised by his family, his friends and their families, by his neighbours and teachers and street thugs and all the other beautiful people he encountered while growing up in Sarajevo.

Velibor studied Mechanical Engineering and worked as an engineer for many years. Now, as a runaway from the corporate world, he uses photography to explore the world and his life. Velibor lives with his wife and two children in Montreal.
