Lourdes Ladrón de Guevara's photographs explore spaces, lines, shadows, geometry, density and fragility. She finds beauty in everyday things and uses her camera to collect images which will serve as raw materials in her photographic compositions.
Lourdes Ladrón de Guevara moved from Mexico City to Toronto in 2005. A self-taught visual artist she has exhibited in Mexico City, Banff, Montreal and Trois-Rivières. In 2003 she received a grant from Banff-FONCA for an artist residency to develop an independent photographic project at the Banff Centre in Alberta.
