Zjezdzalka is a photographer of deserted places and abandoned things. Yet, he does not focus exclusively on the narration aspects of reality he encounters. It seems that he is attracted by some visual values. His photographic way of perceiving things is characterized by the need to order space, what most often is expressed by symmetry. However, that ordering of things does not equal defining the presented objects. That is characteristic of Zjezdzalka's works: as a photographer he hides behind presented reality and allows it to speak for itself. However, there is a method in that hiding, deciding about the atmosphere of his photographs, so well-known in everyday life. These photographs are from the "Sedimentation" series. Sedimentation is a physical process of descent of small particles in reservoir of water - like a lake for example. Some of particles can descent faster than other and they make a layers on the ground. The same process he can find in photography, where the time builds layers of history. A big part of "Sedimentation" series exists as a record of destroyed factories and buildings from old politic and economic system.
